Laura began her career with Iowa BIG just over a year ago as their Administrative Coordinator. She now is one of two Strategic Partner Developers helping BIG find, build and maintain partnerships within the community. Prior to BIG, Laura served two years with AmeriCorps in her hometown of Cedar Rapids. Both terms focused on food-related issues including food access, school gardens and nutrition. It was during this time that she fell in love with her hometown and realized her passions for food justice, community engagement and sustainability. She hopes to inspire BIG students to also follow their passions and connect to CR in a meaningful way.
