Grow within an authentic community. House of Hope offers a wide variety of class options to meet diverse interests and needs.
“At the start of the class, I was feeling pretty weighed down by life’s responsibilities. By the end, I felt lighter because I know it’s not all up to me.”
Upcoming classes include:
- I’m Still Here : Join us as we review and discuss Austin Channing Brown’s book I’m Still Here: Black Dignity In A World Made For Whiteness. This class will be addressing the national conversation around racism in America through safe and guided discussion. Thursdays, starting July 16th. 6:00 p.m. $30, includes book. Masks will be required during class.
- Captivating: Most women think they have to settle for a life of efficiency and duty, chores and errands, striving to be the women they “ought” to be but often feeling they have failed. Sadly, too many messages for Christian women add to the pressure. “Do these ten things, and you will be a godly woman.” The message of Captivating is this: Your heart matters more than anything else in all creation. The desires you had as a little girl and the longings you still feel as a woman—they are telling you of the life God created you to live. Tuesdays, starting August 18th. 2:30 pm. $30, book included.
- Love Does : This is a study about God’s love. It is not just a bunch of rules or stuff we have to agree with. God’s love is different. It changes things. Sundays starting August 23rd. 6:30 pm. $35, workbook and book included.
